Frequently Asked Questions
-
Premier Neurology of Texas operates on a "Direct Specialty Care" model. This means we do not contract with insurance companies for our membership fees. This allows us to focus entirely on your medical needs rather than insurance-mandated time limits. However, your insurance can still be used for outside services like blood work, imaging (MRIs/CTs), and prescriptions, just as it always has.
-
In traditional healthcare settings, providers often care for thousands of patients, which can lead to long wait times, rushed appointments, and limited access to your healthcare team.
At Premier Neurology of Texas, we intentionally maintain a smaller patient panel to provide a more personalized and patient-centered experience. This allows us to offer:
• Greater appointment availability and timely access to care
• Longer, more comprehensive visits focused on understanding your concerns and goals
• Enhanced communication and continuity of care
• Thoughtful, individualized treatment plans tailored to your unique needs
• A proactive approach focused on prevention, brain health, and long-term wellness—not just treating problems when they arise
Our goal is simple: to provide the time, attention, and support you deserve throughout your neurological care journey.
-
We are an insurance-free practice. This allows us to spend more time with you and use the latest diagnostic tools without third-party restrictions. We can provide "superbills" for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
-
Many patients seek a more personalized healthcare experience when traditional models leave them feeling frustrated or underserved. Our approach is designed to help address common challenges such as:
• Difficulty obtaining timely appointments
• Limited time during office visits to fully discuss concerns and treatment options
• Inconsistent continuity of care
• Feeling unheard or overlooked in a busy healthcare system
• Insufficient time to explore underlying causes, prevention strategies, and wellness-focused approaches
• Navigating complex neurological conditions across multiple providers and healthcare settings
By maintaining a smaller patient panel, we can provide more time, access, and individualized attention to support your neurological health.
-
Research suggests that patients receiving more personalized, relationship-based care may experience:
• Greater patient satisfaction and engagement
• Improved continuity of care
• Better management of chronic health conditions
• Enhanced communication between patients and their healthcare team
• More opportunities for preventive care and early intervention
In neurology, continuity and proactive management can be especially valuable for patients living with conditions such as migraine, stroke, memory concerns, epilepsy, neuropathy, and other chronic neurological disorders. A personalized care model allows for more time, closer follow-up, and treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals.
-

At Premier Neurology of Texas, we believe exceptional neurological care begins with time, attention, and meaningful patient-provider relationships. If you're looking for additional insight into a diagnosis, treatment plan, or complex neurological condition, we offer comprehensive second-opinion consultations.
Prior to your appointment, we'll conduct a thorough review of your medical records, imaging studies, test results, and previous evaluations. You are responsible for obtaining these records and providing them to Premier Neurology of Texas. During your consultation, we'll discuss our findings, answer your questions, and provide personalized recommendations to help you make informed decisions about your care.
A one-time follow-up appointment is also available to review additional information, discuss next steps, or address any remaining questions.
